Looking to lose weight? Stay hydrated? Eat healthier? A smoothie is the easiest thing in the world to make and the only thing you need is a blender on hand. And since the taste of the veggies is masked by the taste of the fruit, they’re a great way to eat your veggies without realizing it! Parents totally get this.
Smoothies are also a great alternative to juices. Why, you ask? The juice discards all the parts of a fruit or veggie and only keeps the liquid, and as a result, fibers are all gone. Smoothies use the whole fruit and vegetable, so you rip all the benefits.

Don’t forget to wash the salad and apples!
2 cups Salad, roughly 8 leaves; we used Romaine salad; can be replaced with kale or spinach
3 cups Green Apples, roughly 5 apples
5 cups Water
- Ready your blender.
- Chop the salad and apples and halve the lemon.
- Blend the salad and the water together.
- Add the chopped apples and blend again.
- Pour into glasses, add a squeeze of lemon, and enjoy!
Note: If the consistency is too thick, add water until you reach your desired consistency.
